Physiology

Envision a race composed of robotic, insectoid-like creatures. One of the defining characteristics of these robotic creatures is their collective intelligence and efficiency; the more of them there are in one place, the better they function. Their speed, strength, and cognitive abilities increase exponentially with their numbers. Therefore, when they engage in an attack, it's rarely ever a solitary affair. Instead, they swarm their targets, moving with a frightening synchronicity that speaks to their shared consciousness and superior tactical abilities.
