The players awake to a loud explosive sounds and the building shaking. Edward, Rosa and the cohorts are nowhere to be found.
When they leave the DU, the City Hall is in a panic. If they stop one of the workers to ask what’s going on, they talk about sky pirates attacking.
When leaving there are 3 large air ships in the sky. Two on the outsides of the city walls and one towards the center. The two on the outside of the walls are engaged in combat with the city wall towers, which are shooting cannons back at the airships.
Note: Pirates can not be reasoned with other than bribing them with 500 gold per pirate.
Around the players they can see a building on fire in the distance to the south.
The players run to a warehouse that’s on fire.
To the west you can see that the Castle has taken heavy damage.
The castle has taken damage and there are many casualties. Inside the castle there are 2 pirates that are about to breach the chambers to the King.
To the east there is a group of 4 pirates that are chasing the Tambourine family.
Pirates are chasing the family. Once the players get the pirates attention, the pirates attack.
Further to the east you notice that there is a hole in the graveyard wall.
In the distance you can hear gun shots and screaming in almost every direction.
Players can wander around and fight random pirates to save people. The people they save they gain favor with. Players with favor with an NPC will give double gold for quests.
If the team has a Fairy or are a team of Fairies they can fly up to the airships
They can attempt to sabotage them or fight the guards. The guards are generic Pirates.
Consequences
Do not save the King
The king dies and the Queen is in charge. She raises taxes on all the poor to pay for damages.
Do not save the building on fire
The following NPC are dead and no longer available as random npcs, quest givers or quest receivers. Other npcs can fill the gap if needed or let the consequences be.
Do not save the Tambourine family
The family is taken prisoner and if not saved eventually will be sold into slavery. If so Timmy grows up to hate the team.
Do not save the Graveyard people
Armani and Anaika die. Their kid is now an orphan and is the boy for the next main story arc. If his parents die and he is failed to be saved in the future orphanage fire he becomes a Necromancer Botanist obsessed with bringing his parents back to life.
Do not save the Random People
The following NPC are dead and no longer available as random npcs, quest givers or quest receivers. Other npcs can fill the gap if needed or let the consequences be.
